Inspire Photo Retreats + Fotoskribe

The hardest part about leaving my job at MIT to start my photography business full time, was leaving a community for a work-from-home life. The introvert in me was very excited about working on my own terms, but I knew I would miss having a group of caring people dedicated to their work and happy to lend a hand when it was needed.

Fast forward to 2011, a few months into my soloprenuer career, I went to my first Inspire Photo Retreats conference (then Inspire Boston) in Concord, MA. This was their second time running the conference and I felt like I was walking into a room of people who all knew each other. -Terrifying- When I tell you I walked out 3 days later and that this amazing group of people changed my life and my business, I am not conveying enough how this experience changed me and my business. I felt welcomed and most importantly – I had found a community again.

Inspire Photo Retreats is now in their 6th year and will be held in a new location at the Hyatt Regency in Newport, RI on February 8-10, 2016. I am so excited to announce that Fotoskribe has partnered with Inspire and we have signed on to be one of their sponsors again this year.
