Introducing Story First Blogging

Fotoskribe has been running for over two years now, and we have done over 2000 blogs for photographers!
Weddings, Engagements, Families, Newborns, Babies, Maternity Sessions, Marketing pieces, even Memorials; we have seen photographers document every aspect of life, and helped them share that in blog form.

While I personally have loved every minute of the journey, the questions I kept hearing were: “I like blogging, and I want to do it myself, but I feel like I say the same thing over and over.” Or simply: “I never know what to say when blogging on my own!

I realized that these talented creatives weren’t at the point where they wanted to outsource their blogging, but still needed help finding their words – the words I KNEW they had.

So, Story First Blogging was created!

Story First Blogging was conceived to change the way professional photographers think of blogging.

You see, every photoshoot and client has an inherent story. Their story at that moment in time. Combining the client story with the photographer’s thoughts and emotions behind the image creation, and you have a powerful built-in narrative already in existence. The trick is getting it out and into words.

What is Story First Blogging?

Story First Blogging is a system of client questionnaires (from the talented wordsmiths at Pencil & Lens), forms for the photographer (the ones we use at Fotoskribe), and a worksheet to bring it all together.

It’s as simple as setting up a blogging workflow with the tools we provide in the packages – send questionnaires to clients before the shoot, have shoot, fill out forms after the shoot, and then turn the answers from the forms into a Story First Blog – with a clear beginning, middle, and end. The words almost write themselves.

We have packages for Wedding & Engagement Blogs and for Maternity, Newborn, and Family Blogs; we will be adding niche packages like Seniors and Boudoir throughout 2016.

Then, that text gets uploaded into the blogging platform along with the chosen images – and the blog is done! Different and unique every time. With the added benefit of allowing the photographer enough room and space to have their own personal voice shine through. That voice is what current clients will appreciate and prospective clients will resonate with. That voice is what will make people WANT to book you, because they feel like they actually know YOU.

That voice, YOUR voice, is what will make people WANT to book, because they feel like they actually know YOU. But you have to blog for people to hear it.

We, at Fotoskribe, want to help you blog, in whatever way possible, and we think this system will help you do it.

You can purchase the blog story packages at They are on sale at the launch price of $75 each (or $125 for both) until March 31, 2016.

And please feel free to reach out to us with any questions! We love to talk blogging with photographers!
